Thank you for supporting this year’s Heidi’s Walk for Hope event! It was a wonderful day—the sun was shining, and it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our amazing community.

Heidi’s Walk for Hope honours the memory of Heidi Ferguson (née Bogner). Heidi lost her life on September 12, 2009, in a tragic domestic dispute with her estranged husband. This event was created to raise awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence to prevent future tragedies and to provide vital funds to support our work here at Family Transition Place. With your support and participation, we feel confident that we are one step closer to a community free from violence. By getting involved with your community, taking action to prevent abuse and supporting programs like our Youth Education program—teaching kids in schools throughout Dufferin and Caledon about healthy relationships—you can help us achieve our vision: A community free of abuse where all individuals are treated with compassion, equity and respect, and live their lives in healthy relationships.

With your support and participation, we raised over $28,000! With every dollar raised, we are one step closer to a community free from violence. By being involved with our work, taking action to prevent abuse and supporting programs like our Youth Education program—teaching kids in schools throughout Dufferin and Caledon about healthy relationships—you are helping us achieve our vision: A community free of abuse where all individuals are treated with compassion, equity and respect, and live their lives in healthy relationships.
