Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year’s Take Back the Night—a community event uniting folks against sexual violence and gender-based violence. We’re grateful to our event partners, Georgian College Orangeville, for hosting the event at the Orangeville campus (22 Centennial Rd).
Thank you to: our guest speakers with lived or living experience for sharing their powerful stories and poems; staff and students at Georgian College for putting everything together at the campus; Dufferin OPP and members of the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) for speaking about the impact of violence against women in our community; Danielle and her emotional support animals; and those who participated in the awareness march. It’s inspiring to see a group of people come together to support and empower survivors and speak up against violence of any kind.
