Like many other shelters throughout Ontario and Canada, FTP received emergency funding from the government (municipal and federal) throughout the pandemic to help us sustain our critical programs and services. It was a massive help during an incredibly challenging time, but unfortunately, the funding has just ended. That emergency funding provided us with the opportunity to purchase much-needed gift cards for our clients to access groceries and gas. As we all know, groceries and gas are essential (and expensive) items for everyone, and those gift cards were vital to many people. Now that the funding has ended, our gift card supply is running very low.
If you are in a position to help, your donation of gift cards for gas stations, Walmart and grocery stores is greatly appreciated.
