Meet our Faciliatators
Lyn Allen has over twenty-three years of experience working in the field of domestic violence. She has been the Manager of Residential and Outreach Services for Family Transition Place for the past twelve years and is currently the Chair of the Dufferin Caledon Domestic Assault Review Team. Lyn is the lead Domestic Abuse Training Facilitator for Transitions Training.Lyn is an engaging speaker who brings her extensive knowledge and experience to her role as trainer and facilitator. She captivates her audiences with her high energy and optimism and her collaborative training approach.
Lyn is a frequent presenter and trainer to both Muncipal and Provincial Police Services.
She has been the Provincial Facilitator for the Ontario Not for Profit Housing Association and has delivered training on Woman Abuse Issues for Social Housing Providers.
Lyn was a presenter at the Provincial Conference of Probation and Parole Officers and delivered Ontario Works Advanced Worker Training. She also presented to the Canadian Panel on Violence Against Women.
Lynette Pole-Langdon has over fifteen years of experience working in the field of counselling and nine years of service with Family Transition Place, now as the Manager of Counselling and as a Transitions Training facilitator.
Lynette received her Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from Western University and she completed Level I training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
Lynettte’s extensive experience working with women who have suffered various types of abuse and her experience facilitating specialized therapeutic groups have allowed her to become an excellent trainer and speaker who is able to adapt to the needs of her audience.
