Take Back the Night

Family Transition Place (FTP), in partnership with Dufferin Child and Family Services (DCAFS) and Headwaters Health Care Centre (HHCC), invites community members to stand together in solidarity against gender-based violence at this year’s Take Back the Night event. FTP, DCAFS and HHCC are proud to collaborate in support of survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. Together, we provide coordinated, survivor-centred care throughout Dufferin County while raising awareness, fostering community connections and working to prevent violence.

Take Back the Night is an internationally recognized movement held each September to raise awareness of sexual and gender-based violence, honour and support survivors and inspire communities to take action toward ending violence.

This year’s event will feature powerful guest speakers, local community resources, a 2-kilometre empowerment walk through Shelburne and a candlelight vigil to honour survivors and remember those whose lives have been impacted by gender-based violence.

Everyone is welcome to attend. No registration is required.
