In partnership with the Orangeville Public Library, Family Transition Place’s (FTP’s) Youth Educators are hosting another awesome contest for students: the Resiliency Poetry contest!
Being resilient is an important part of coping with difficult times. Being resilient allows you to learn valuable lessons from a challenging period in your life and bounce back quicker. We have all experienced challenges with our own resiliency in the last year and we want to hear about them.
The Orangeville Public Library and FTP are inviting students (grades 4-8) to create a 6-word poem highlighting how they—or someone they know—has shown resiliency over the last year.
This video provides amazing examples and inspiration!
Students should send their poems to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. for their chance to win a prize and have their poem featured on our social media feeds.
