November is Woman Abuse Prevention Month. Family Transition Place (FTP) will once again be participating in the Ontario Association of Interval and Transition Houses (OAITH) Wrapped in Courage campaign, which will run completely online this year. The focus will not be on selling Wrapped in Courage purple scarves, but on building awareness and raising funds through online engagement pieces.
FTP is asking our community to wear purple on November 25th in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and in support of survivors of gender-based violence. November 25th is the first day of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence; an annual initiative that runs until December 10th (Human Rights Day) by individuals and organizations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. Please share photos of your support on social media and include the hashtags #WrappedinCourage and #FamilyTransitionPlace.

The courage of a woman alone is not enough.
